“One of them, when he saw he was healed, came back, praising God in a loud voice. He threw himself at Jesus’ feet and thanked him—and he was a Samaritan.” Luke 17:15-16
I remember this story about the 10 lepers who got healed by Jesus but only one came back. Maybe the 9 has their personal reasons why they didn’t return to thank Jesus. Maybe they were too excited to see their family again or get back to their favorite sports (I’m just thinking…) But one thing that got my attention was the gratefulness of a healed “enemy” (Samaritan are off to the Jews and vice-versa)
What made him come back? I really don’t know his reasons but obviously he was grateful enough to go back to the one who gave back his life.
I want that heart this time as the year 2010 ends. To “throw” myself again at Jesus’ feet and thank Him for giving me life that is meaningful and fruitful, its not a blissful one yet it was so adventurous because He was with me all through out the year. Thank you Jesus for fulfilling your promises! (Matthew 28:20)
What are you thankful about this 2010?
